You will have no problem shooting that .338WM in normal hunting situations. If you want to do a lot of prone shooting off a bi-pod then you might like to fit a brake onto it.
You can get a cheap one off the net and get a local smith to fit it for you. All up cost would be about $150. Then get yourself a good long range scope.
