Undermining Hammer?

What is the point of this thread exactly?
The point of the thread is to try to understand why so many people react so strongly to criticism of Hammer Bullets. From what I've seen, most of the critiques seem to be about legitimate concerns- things like performance, advertising claims, or areas for improvement, yet they're often met with hostility or accusations that the person is trying to undermine the company.

I don't see where anyone is actually trying to take Hammer down, so I'm trying to figure out why this assumption keeps happening. Is it just brand loyalty? A misunderstanding of criticism? Something else?

I'm not looking to stir the pot, just trying to have a discussion about why these conversations get so heated and whether there's a better way to approach them.

And yes, this could honestly go for many other brands, companies, subjects, etc. on this forum. Hammer is just the big one right now and has been for several years now on this forum.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Why do you think this reaction happens? What's driving all the defensiveness, and do you think there's a better way to handle these discussions?
So far in every post Ive seen here critical of Hammers performance Ive not seen or read one convincing evidence it was the bullet, my guess is the reason Hammer fans react to that defensively.
In some threads I have asked very simple questions only to get intentionally vague or unclear to me answers. Of the many very positive reviews on hunting forums suggest they perform excellent, that the few complaints are outliers. FWIW, all good bullets have outliers and there are logical reasons why any bullet can randomly fail.
I think a better way to handle these discussions is if someone has a bad result to ask from the point of view of what could have went wrong rather than rant how much they suck because thats the divisive part.

Good and fair points, for sure. Thank you for your input.

Hadn't you already posted you figured this out?

This thread is not about Hammer Bullets but about Petey308 and his crusade to crush Hammer Bullets. He wants them to fail so bad he can taste it. Petey308 has hundreds of posts questioning every aspect of a Hammer Bullets. Consider this thread titled "Undermining Hammer?"
What other reason is there for starting a thread such as this but to cast doubt and shade upon Hammer Bullets.
I am not sure why he has a burr under his saddle? Is it because Steve doesn't consult Petey308 on the design of every bullet.
It is hard enough to run a small business without some keyboard cowboy sticking his nose into it everyday.

I shoot Hammer Bullets for 3 reasons. I also shoot Berger's, Hornady's, Nosler's and others.
1) They have killed everything I have shot Period and Petey308 telling me that they are not perfect has no bearing on my bullet selection.
2) They are not fussy when it comes to load development. But in my experience seating depth maters.
3) They are made in Montana and I try to support our local business whenever I can. But not to the extent that I would shoot a inferior product.

So Petey308 you should have listened to that small still voice and not hit the post button because you are now exposed for what you are!
I would hope this thread would end now but alas it will not. It will go on and on because all Hammer threads do most of which is egged on by Petey308.

PS
The Elk in my Avatar was killed with a drum roll, 6.5 Creedmoor shooting a 125 Hammer Hunter Tipped at 286 yds one and done he went 20 yds. I am proud of the gun the cartridge and the bullet all preformed as expected.

Fair enough.

I don't use hammer products. Tried a couple boxes, but I couldn't get them to group in my rifle. A .308 that literally shoots everything else. So, I moved on. I felt they were too expensive to force them to work. I refrained from jumping on the forum and losing my cool about their product. No biggie, I don't have to use coppers in my state, and there are many other choices that do work for that application.

From my objective observations on the subject, there were champions of their products who have turned into their biggest critics now. For one reason or another. I think this is where the assumptions lie?

I think to all sing Kumbaya and visualize total harmony amongst our peers??
Echo chambers
