I've never actually fished that area, I should try it! I definitely have some good ponds though… nothing like a Lake Clear Wabbler and the smell of "Old Woodsman" fly dope on a late May morning!

I couldn't agree more! I hardly fish anymore, I need to start again, it's such a busy time of year for my work, and I scout almost every single free day I have year round for deer, that fishing always seems to take a back burner. A few years ago I was scouting an area for bucks that I was accessing through a public campground, when I got there first thing in the morning one of the staff told me just to go home, the black flies were so bad people were basically leaving their campsites in groves, it was hilarious
, I threw my bug suit on and made a several mile loop anyways, I hate all bugs, but black flies after a hatch have to be some of the most obnoxious insects god has ever created, any exposed skin and they are on it! You know it's black fly season when people are mowing there tiny lawn in the ADK's covered in huge rocks and exposed hemlock tree roots while wearing a full mesh bug suit!LRNut
