Other than Dad's or Grandpas guns are just tools I buy sell trade all the time but a good dog is priceless!
Mine was forced into retirement before her prime. I sure miss having a bird hunting partner but there's nothing like that unconditional love from a dog.Life is short and humans should have that companion, even if they have traded tennis balls for birds...
Absolutely!Other than Dad's or Grandpas guns are just tools I buy sell trade all the time but a good dog is priceless!
Pup all the way. I'd like to provide a detailed answer but the tears dropping on the screen wouldn't make it possible. You have $1000 to burn up. It can either go towards a new gun that you have been wanting or a new puppy that has got your attention. What say ye? Dog or gun.
They hunt for the ball should you throw it. lolMy two don't do much hunting, unless it's two legged trespassers LOL

I think that once you have a dog in your life it's very difficult to not have one in your life.I feel just like many of you. I lost my 14 year old miniature aussie last October. What a wonderful boy he was. I still miss him. Finally it was time to get on with life. I couldn't live without a dog or two
I've had to put down 6 dogs. Each one rips a deeper hole. At 70 years old I don't want that heartache any more.I think that once you have a dog in your life it's very difficult to not have one in your life.
Dogs are special. Enjoy your new buddyMiniature Aussie with a "*****" ear. I left his tail on.
