All of my rifles are about 0.5" moa or less with handloads, but the 2 that really surprised me with their accuracy during load development are my 6.5-284 Norma and 7 STW. Both had multiple shots in the same hole when working up loads

My 6.5x47 Lapua, used for PRS competition, is my most accurate rifle. Accuracy .1-.2MOA.

-MPA Chassis
-Surgeon 591 Action
-Kreiger Med Palma 8/twist
-NF F1 5x25x56 ATACR, Mil-R
-Jewel trigger
-Area 419 Muzzle Break

It's pretty cool that six years ago, greyfox made the 2nd reply and it still slinging lead at long range and posting on the forum!

A month ago I would've said my sako a7 in 6.5 cm was the most accurate rifle I own.

but my 700 milspec in 308 is .1-.15moa larger grouping with 168eldm and with 208eldm it shoots tighter than the sako...out to 400yards then it starts to destabilize lol

Don't laugh.

i have put together two different 270 Ruger Americans for two ordinary hunters. With just a little bit of fiddling and one I had to grind out a bit of a touching forend, they both easily shot sub-MOA groups for me. I did use my handholds to break in both rifles for the guys but they also shot two different factory ammo types into MOA groups.

Sure the rifle is not the quality most of us want. Sure also is they shoot right out of the box.

Now don't laugh.

Most accurate? Hell, I don't own one that isn't accurate... Like Townsend Whelen said, "Only accurate rifles are interesting".

Now, my most consistent rifles are my 700 5R Milspec (Gen1) .308 Win, and my 2002 Sendero SF 7mm STW. Year round, hot or cold, rain or shine...They're going to shoot under 1/2 MOA (usually closer to 1/4 MOA) every time you pull the trigger with my handloads.

Mud,
If you don't mind sharing, what is your load recipe for that 308? Mine likes RL15 and 4064 with 168 AMAX.

I have a few different ones with different bullet weights, but the 3 loads that it really likes are.

168 Berger VLD or 168 Nosler Custom Comp
44.0 gr. of Varget
Fed 210M
Fire-formed Hornady Match brass (back when Hornady still stamped their brass "MATCH" on the head stamp). Got tons of that stuff from back before I reloaded 16+ years ago.

175 Nosler Custom Comp
44.0 gr of Varget (this is a fairly warm load in most guns, so work up carefully)
Fed 210M
Lapua (fire-formed & neck-sized) .308 Win brass

210 Berger VLD or 215 Hybrid
39.1 gr. of Varget
Fed 210M
Lapua (fire-formed & neck-sized) .308 Win brass

I don't normally share charge weights for safety's sake, so my disclaimer is this... If someone is trying to replicate, you're on your own. Work up very slowly, carefully, and at your own risk.

Here's pics of mine...... Tikka T3x Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I posted my group on here last week..... 3 bullets through the same hole @ 100 yards. That is something I'll never be able to repeat!

The greatest thing about that is looking for the second and third shots. Amazing
Yea man, I couldn't believe it! After I made the scope adjustments I put 2 through the same hole. I know, I know, cheap targets. I just used what someone left at the range! They worked for what I needed!

I've always been a die hard Savage fan, but this kind of accuracy is hard to argue with....

Ruger Precision 6.5 creed

The RPRs are nice rifles. Welcome to LRH and enjoy! Nice dig BTW.

My latest acquisition is also a 6.5 CM, Compass by TCA. This $20 wonder (won it from a fundraising raffle is pretty slick using factory ammo (125g Winchester deer season XP at 200 yards).

Antelope rifle season starts next month and will be its first field test, we'll see how it goes from there. :D:D
