I shot the bear @ 9:15pm was dark 3/4 hour later so after waiting 1/2 hour we headed into the thick bush after about 10 yards and barely being able to see my son who was walking only 8 yards to my right due to how thick the bush was I called him out and we headed back to camp.
We came back in the morning with my Marlin 1895GS 45-70 loaded with 525gr Beartooth Piledriver's @ 1600fps my son was carrying his 8.5" barreled Rem 870 12 gauge (legal here in Canada) loaded with 3" Brennekke slugs.
My son was carrying my Rem 700 LSS in 300RUM loaded with 200gr A-Frames @ 3200fps when I shot the bear.

21" barreled 375JDJ rechambered from 375 Win 260gr Accubonds @ 2300fps shot distance was 60 yards

June 1 2008 interior British Columbia grizzly skull measured 24 3/16" shot 250 yards shot with Rem 700 LSS 375RUM 300gr Partitions @ 2775fps
