I'm going to Tajikistan this year for a Marco Polo and two different ibex species. Think I'll end up taking my 300 Norma improved. Which scope is still yet to be determined. That thin air definitely changes what you're looking for in regards to ballistics.

If I'm thinking Dream, I would hunt High Altai Argali sheep.
I would take my tack driving 28 Nosler shooting 177g Hammer Hunters.
It's already filled lots of dreams for me.

Makes sense to me. I am not crazy about goats though - sheep taste so much better.

...but who am I kidding - if I get to do any shooting in the Himalayas, it'll most likely be with a camera

I have a few other cool hunts lined up. But those big twister rams have been at the top of my list for a long long time. Only other one close is the Mongolian rams

Hey, not really my dream hunt; because that seems to change pretty regularly. But, I'm currently in Spain. A couple days ago I took a bucket list animal, an Ibex. Also hunted for Red Legged Partridge behind pointing dogs. Yesterday I took a Balarean Boc. Also culled a female Boc, guide has 20 tags for females and asked I wanted to shoot one. I said if we saw one that should be taken. Well we did and down it went. Turned out it was defective, only had one teat. Guide and government game manager said it probably lost babies every time it had them.

Wow! I am going to Spain (after I visit Omaha for the 80th anniversary of D Day). What are the hunting seasons there? I shot an ibex in Mongolia back in 99 but would love to get one in Spain and esp Turkey.

Mine might sound stupid to most of you, but really any western critter with my kids. Really don't care about which rifle, I love em all. Just a good hunt that I can spend time with the kids and hopefully bring some meat and hopefully some decent horns home. I don't need a trophy just something nice to have the memories of the time with them.

Any hunt with your kids trumps all!
Took my son to Africa. Often hunt with my youngest daughter. Other daughter would only hunt if someone else process the kill. My rule, you kill it, you clean it!

Heck, that might be an offer to consider. Though, I'd prefer to carry my handgun and you the back-up rifle. Rifle only to be used if I'm in really deep ! Even then hesitate just a bit……I want to get my monies worth! me
