I'll start and go ahead and get the "boring" and "slow" stuff out of the way. I've never gone wrong with my .30-06 running a 180 NP over 56.5 gr H4350.

For myself , my 338 Lapua Mag using 78g of IMR 4831 with 250 g Lapua Scenars really seems to like this combo. For the 308 , My Tikka T3 Tac has found another combo it likes , i tried some 175 g Sierra Matchkings as i had about 400 of them , i used IMR 4320 , started off at 42.1g and went up in 3g increments before finding the sweet spot of 43grains for accuracy . Both these rifles are only used for paper punching and i can only shoot out to 225 yards . I need to find something way longer as the 338 is really shooting pretty **** good .

Agreed, my 30-338 is my favorite. It shoots 150 speers, for deer, and 180-210 Nosler, for elk/moose with extreme accuracy.
