I know that this is a WSM thread but your use of a 270Wea, caught my eye. I think a 270 Wea. with a twist of 26-28" 1-8 tube to shoot the 150-160 Matrix or a 170 Berger but yet have a factory round would be kinda neat !

Except they come with a 10 twist. A real PIA. May get converted to an 8.

I was in reference to a build. I have a long action M700 waiting for something. I am 63 and blessed with good health for now, but I think it makes sense to have builds in factory chamberings to pass down some day. Seems to me that thw set up I mentioned before would be tough to beat.

If you're referring to .277 cal tube, yes to both. I have a 30" SS Lilja 1:8" 3-G #6 contour on my .270 AI and very pleased with it.
