That's awesome man, Congrats. Love to do a wolf hunt.
Yeah I think that all makes sense. The black one was 118 summer weight. Biologist add 20 for winter.supposedly the largest in Mondamtana was around 135 # a friend that died way too young, trapped one along the front 120 # and he had a head on him like a bear, easy to tell the older males with their big heads and shoulders. You definitely are doing well at it Brent, my hat goes off to you!! story on the bow kill when you have time.
I would think so. Most of the terrain allows for longer shots like across ravines. That 100 FPS is going to help but not enough for me to go long again. My 6.5-284's were 28 unsuppressed. I'm got to an 18 and expect 3000 out of the 135 and 2950ish with a 143.you think a guy could get 3200 fps or better out of that 135 A-tip with 26 " barrel, Brent? I see the country you hunt is 70 % open or burnt, that would darn well help on the glassing especially with snow.................
More compact is the main purposeBrent... is your purpose for a 18" barrel just for back packing... or some other reason
