Why shoot a sissy rifle?

Yah, automotive strikes are a total waste of financial resources. Stinks when it happens to you. We got 2 vehicles bashed this winter so far. I'd rather spend the money on a hunt than repairs.
Thanks... Got to add that to my justification list next time I get in an argument with the wife about the money I spend on hunting etc...

Anyone run real light bullets in their creed. Started a tradition of making a spring drive to Maine. I get to go coyote hunting while wives get together. Last year took a dasher I built shooting 65 grain v max. This year I've been inspired to take a 6.5 creed cannon. I have a factory Remington adl that shoots very small with most anything I put in it. Was thinking cutting it down to 18" for suppressor and running 100 grain or less. My only experience with real light is 85 grain hammers out of a gasser at 3500. That had a 24" barrel. Thoughts/suggestions. Figured every creedmoor expert is on this thread so I'd ask. @birddog 68 I could start a new thread if u want me to. Thanks

No problem posting this question here.
Sorry I can't help you since I have only shot 140's and a box of 130 factory ammo.
I thought I seen a thread about loads for the 6.5 creedmoor so you may want to do a search.

Ready for another cartridge drop?

Another successful Capture or Kill mission executed with good 'ol American engine-uity.

I hope they drove through town showing off their success. Downtown San Francisco has always been the town I dream of driving through like this... like the good 'ol days in Wisconsin when we tied them to the front fender of the '53 Buick and made the long journey home from the northern forests. We always drove through "downtown" first then past our friend's houses with the horn a-blazing.

And not a Creedmore or ELD-X bullet in sight. Ahhhh those were the days!

The 123 gr. ELD-M's Shoot real Nice ( Mid 3's @ 100 yds ) with, H-4895 Powder in my Factory, T-3 Lite, "Lefty" 24" Tikka.
Use 120 gr, Data IF, you can't find, 123 gr. Data and "Work Up",.. carefully ! ( Hogdon and Sierra have, Data )
I've settled on, the 10 Percent higher BC, 130 grainer's, as my Main, "all around", Steel / Large Varmint, Bullet.
123's are the Lightest Bullet that, I've tried, because I Have, a Deadly "Accurate" Custom 10 pound, 6 XC that, I use mainly for, Varmints.

I see from your location that you're in Eastern Oregon. Sounds like you might be in the area where we've been chasing squirrels - maybe in Eastern Oregon? Lol
Could be... numbers around here have been down for the last 3-4 years prior to that you couldn't drive a mile down the road near fields without seeing a dozen cross the road. Good shooting practice for my sons growing up.

I have to say though that I don't condone using that low power sissy cartridge If you're not leaving a 5" exit wound on the off side that just ain't right. Nothing less than a magnum I tell ya! Ha Ha

We have been going down to Eastern Oregon for ground squirrels for the last 3-4 years and definitely see ups and downs in squirrel population over that time.
