Why shoot a sissy rifle?

Ready for another cartridge drop?

Very true.
Bottle rocket wars were awsome, dozens in a pipe so you can aim them, kinda like a fire ball and a mini gun in one 😂
Drinking water from creeks and tree stumps
Fun times 😁

Did anyone else play with pure sodium in water?? Or carbide?? 😂

Neighbor's dad was a welder and he made some carbide cannons for us kids to play with. Took a 3 inch steel pipe about 2 ft long and welded a steel base plate to one end, fitted a spark plug about 2-3 in from bottom that we would hook up to a lawn mower... put some carbide in the tube, spit on it, stuff a tennis ball in and crank the mower. Looking back - I had an awesome childhood. Lol...

We had Roman Candle wars. Roman Candles are also pretty cool if you shoot them out the window of a car going about 70..................or so I've been told.

We used to blow up a lot of stuff up with M-80's, they'll blow out about half a car windshield if you cover it in mud and place the M-80 in the center of the mud pack. They'll also break a commode if you try to flush a lit, didn't personally try it, but know someone who did.
We used to blow stuff up with them all the time until Dad caught us and gave us hell for busting everything up. After that we just lit them and threw them at one another. Had one with a quick fuse go off 10 ft from my hand and I finally got smart and said enough. Again, the crazy stuff we did amazes me and figure I'm lucky to still be in one piece lol.

As kids we used to play "war". Fake guns or sticks. Bang got you, no you didn't missed me etc. Got sick of the cheating so decided to play for real with BB guns. Went ok except for a fight at the end which resulted in a close range bb in the back of the neck. Which then lead to a kid going through a window at the bus stop. Which then lead to the bus stop moving to a windowless car wash and no more BB gun wars. I don't recommend any of it. It's amazing the stupidity myself and friends have survived. Not everyone has the opportunity to grow out of it. I appreciate that we did.
BB gun wars were brutal. Graduated to paintball guns and more carnage. One gal in our group found out her BF was cheating on her and unloaded her paintball gun on him in a bar. I don't know if she intended it or not but when he ducked behind a table she blasted a few rounds into the fireplace behind him. Pretty sure every hair on his head was singed as well as his face which remained cherry red for week or more. I tell my kids these stories whenever they want to play laser tag to remind them we aren't the same.

Ahhh. Good times we all had. My friends and I did similar things.
We'd set up an "American Gladiators" (remember that show?) style obstacle course in the back yard with pallets, plywood, and the like. We'd then shoot at the runner with BB guns from the second story windows... until one guy got one in the eye. He lived.
If we had been using the 6.5 CM instead, we'd probably still be playing because there wouldn't be any danger of anyone getting seriously hurt. That round didn't exist back then, so that's probably why.
Now you know if we had had our sissy guns back then there would been more craters in our yards/fields than a WWI battle ground. lol
