Why shoot a sissy rifle?

Add 1000fps to that and that's where I like it 😂

So what we need is a turkey load for the 6.5 CM.... then we wouldn't have to worry about discerning 70, 80 or 90 yds. It will revolutionize turkey hunting as a sport... in fact it'll probably take all the sport out of it. Maybe that's what happened to the dinosaurs?

In all seriousness, I'm not crazy about TSS range claims and that taking the sport out of calling gobblers in close. If folks are taking birds at 75 yds regularly then it will really be a turkey shoot. Kinda like shooting deer over a pile a corn. Where's the challenge in that? Take that sissy rifle to the range and practice picking off deer at distances the rifle is capable of... There. That ought to stir the pot and push this thread a few more pages... lol
Right with you. If I can't call him in to within 40 yards, he'll sleep with his hens that night. That's the sport/art of turkey hunting, IMHO.

"Overkill"…..doesn't exist when shoulder fired rifles are used!

2 elk, and an Antelope……at the same time! 😜 memtb

Back in the fall after I failed to call in a bird close enough for a shot, I was looking at picking up a box of Remington TSS for the spring Turkey season but I couldn't get myself to pay the price ($60/box). I still have a few boxes of lead loads for my 20ga I probably won't use up anytime soon.
A buddy asked me what it would cost to reload TSS for him thinking it could be done cheaper. Not by much. Particularly with the original components buy in. Thankfully I don't hunt turkeys anymore.

Hey turn its gotta be a thong . Can't have those lines showing through you yoga pants . Edit , darned computer spell check I guess I should have just typed his whole name Turpentine21 !
I get that all the time. I knew who you were referring to!
Some folks think my username is a reference to Turtles and Antlers. Nope. Actually it comes from the area I live in where people used to use catch cans to collect resin from the Long Leaf Pines to make Turpentine. The town I live near is also named for these tall straight Long Leaf Pines that were used for masts on the Kings ships. Just a bit of history there.
How is this related to the 6.5 Creedmore. I don't know. I reckon if we'd developed the CM back then we wouldn't have had to fight the Revolutionary War. The British would have just left rather than face the Creedmore toting, man bun wearing hordes clad in nothing but thongs and banana hammocks. Or less.

Good points 😂

First it destroys big game hunting, then fishing and now it's going after turkeys. Is nothing sacred?

Nothing at all brother. There are now two very distinct periods in American, possibly world history. Pre Creedmore and After Creedmore. I'm just glad Marvin the Martian did not have access to the Creedmore.

In all seriousness here as my last few posts have erred on the humorous side. I'm not much on recoil but I have shot quite a few 270 WSMs to zero for folks. In a 7.5 pound rifle with a scope and a good recoil pad, it's recoil is unexpectedly pleasant given the horsepower it has. I've always thought doing one on a mid or long action with an 8 or maybe 9 twist would make an interesting rig.
