That's okay, while I love my 284 win; I have done most of my hunting with a 308 winchester and 168s for the last 20 years shooting. - moose, a pile of cow elk, several 225-250 wild boars. Never let me down.
WELL I carry my Creedmore in my@birddog 68 now you have elevated my .270TH to "MAGNUM" status! Thankfully I drive a Ram 4x4 2500 Quad cab 8' box to carry my ammo!
i have a 308win that shoots as soft or softer than a 5.56/223.Everyone feels like they are shooting a man cannon compared to the 6.5 creedmoor.
well, there can't be any deer down where you're at, cause all that lives there is mesquite and rocks .I've got a custom 6.5CM. It launches 143 ELDXs at 2750 out of a 20" Bartlein tube with RL16, CCI 450s & Lapua brass. It's a true no BS quarter MOA rifle, when I do my job. I'm extremely comfortable out to ~ 800, when the conditions cooperate. For Texas deer & hogs, I've never once wanted for more, nor have I ever seen them killed any more efficiently.
Its so loud it has its own section on LRH!My 7STW shoots much much softer than my mod70 30-06 the only problem is the sound will cause a seismic shift
Even the mighty Creed has it's limits, you have to keep the big really toothy m mature trophy T-rex' within 1,200 yards if you want em DRT.I keep hearing that it's the only factory cartridge capable of dropping a T-Rex in its tracks
I made a huge mistake last month shooting off the hood of my Sami trying to get on running pig, I didn't realize that the end of the muzzle was even with the windshield when I squeezed the trigger, it was like getting mule kicked in the ear and my cousin who was standing behind me and never been around one landed on the ground in the stickers holding his ears and screamingIts so loud it has its own section on LRH!
That's the ones lolAhh yes, skinny jeans
That's right, I birddog 68 shoot a sissy rifle. Not just any sissy rifle but a 6.5 creedmoor, the queen of sissies.
Some are afraid to mention that they shoot a skinny jeans man bun latte drinking rifle for fear that they will be ridiculed by their former friends. Not I.
I was looking for a rifle that would basically be a range rifle and was a little easier on my torn rotator cuff but wanted a bit more power than my 223 Remington. I wanted readily available brass and bullets and something that I wouldn't have to buy any powder that wasn't on my shelf already. The 6.5 CM checked all the boxes.
I ended up buying a Browning Xbolt western hunter last spring with a 24" barrel and yea it's even got a brake on it!
It's actually been boring working up loads for since it's shot everything good that I have tried so far.
I'm shooting 140 ELDM and 140 ballistic tip and have used IMR 4350, Ramshot hunter,W760 and staball 6.5 and it doesn't care what I fill the case with. It just shoots!
I'd like to hear what brought others to buy such a sissy rifle ?
