It has been my experience that RL26 doesn't perform the same in the 6.5PRC as it does the Creedmoor. I have 2 custom built PRC rifles, and both shoot H1000 better than RL26 as far as speed.

Kirby Allen built this one for my Granddaughter. 26" 1/8 twist Bartlein barrel. Hammer 125 gr HHTs.

Until you put RL26 in 6.5PRC......the stuff is pure magic.

+1 on that, but there are many out there that buy the PRC and shoot factory loads limiting themselves to upper manbun velocities.

I remember quite a few years back when I put together my first 6.5CM on a Savage 110 action, I started testing with RL26 and found out the CM was capable of reaching 3000fps with 143ELDX Bullets out of my 26" barrel. My 24" Savage was shooting 2950fps with same bullet.
I got a lot of crap from all the 6.5-284 guys claiming that I was full of it, my chrono must be faulty or I was shooting way over pressure. After enough time and enough other people using RL26 were getting the same results the guys using 6.5-284 started using RL26 and were now 100fps faster with their rifles than the CM, all was good with them after that.
I have a Sako S20 6.5CM and Tikka T3X 6.5CM and both have 24" barrels. Both rifles shoot 143ELDX bullets at 2920-2950fps and just like my other previous CM give between .500" and .750" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. My load with the RL26 is hot but I have gotten over 12 loadings with same brass.
My Deer rifle before the 6.5CM has been 30-06 Sako L61R 24" barrel, I have 2 of them both shoot Nosler 165gr Ballistic Tips at 3100fps using H205 powder and Lapua brass, Sub Moa at 100 yards. Hunting here in the woods I found I really didn't need to use the 30-06 for hunting deer or bear and the 6.5CM was more than what was needed. I even have a 6.5 Grendel that I use. ( if I am doing much walking I will bring my scoped Ruger SRH 44 Mag with 13.25" barrel in a Bandolier Holster hangs on the front of me )
I now have 5 - 6.5CM rifles as I sold the 110BA Stealth and pulled the barrel of the LA savage rifle its now a 30-06 I gave to of my sons, I also gave a Savage Lady Hunter 6.5CM to one of my daughters.

In all I have had 8 - 6.5CM and 2 - 6.5 Grendels, yes I have a sickness but no manbun , I do however have a beard, a Tundra and I believe I have a nice Moob Rack going on. (some of the 6.5s have Vortex Scopes)

There that feels good to get that of my chest.

I made a huge mistake last month shooting off the hood of my Sami trying to get on running pig, I didn't realize that the end of the muzzle was even with the windshield when I squeezed the trigger, it was like getting mule kicked in the ear and my cousin who was standing behind me and never been around one landed on the ground in the stickers holding his ears and screaming

I ONCE shot my BOSS Abolt stainless 300Win about 10ft from my tin sided garage
I won't even shoot a 22 without hearing protection after that,, unless a critter shows up & I don't have time

My 6.5 PRC load in my Ridgeline is 55.0 grs. RL26. Fed 210M ADG case , 156 Berger. Deadly. Have CDS dial set for VX6 4x24x52 Luepold. Very confident with that rifle. Starting to work on a Cooper mod. 52 6.5x284 that have had for almost 6 years. Have Lapua cases for it. 4.5x27x50 Athlon. Shot a doe lope and small whitetail buck with it in 2019. Haven't shot since. Was factory ammo. Debating to put a spare APA Micro Bastard brake on its not as light as C.A. Ridgeline but a nice rifle. Both have 24 in. barrels.
