Why I want a 25 creedmoor because it's the perfect caliber.

I really want a 25creedmoor. I have lots of reasons....
There's lots of balistic reasons but none of those make too much sense in a common sense world.
Let me start by saying this. I own a 6.5creedmoor. I also own a 7remag. I also am an abrasive, contrary, a smart ***. If you say up I say down if you say old I say new....
Ok so balisticly the 25creed is better because out of a 22" tube it pushes a bullet of higher BC faster than a 6.5creed dose itj a 26" tube. Also it has better barrel life than all the 6mm bores.

Ok now let's get down to the emotional stuff.
The 25 creedmoor is awesome because it has creedmoor in its name and that ****es off half the folk. This means it should be able to kill the velociraptor/ Trex clones fairly easily as well as be perfect to take on a hunt in the new sasquatch season in Oklahoma.
Next it's 25caliber and that's bound to also **** some people off because there's no milly-meeter equivalent. It's more American than the 30 cal because 30 cal isn't a fraction of an inch- but 25 cal is!!! It shares a bore with only a few cartridges- the 25-06, 257roberts, 257wetherby. and 250savage. Since it's better than all the 6mils it will make more people mad because it's 25. Simply put anyone who has a 25 cal has it on purpose because THEY WANTED to BE DIFFERENT.
So is the 25creedmoor perfect for my personality? Of course such a rebel caliber would have to be built on a defiance action....

What do y'all think? Will this kill more dinosaurs and make more folk perplexed or should I just stick with the 65.creedmoor....?

Let me know your most emotional opinions.
Does shooting a 1/4 bore make you contrary? If you shoot a 1/4bore did you decide to do it because you were contrary already?
Does combining the 1/4bore with creedmoor make the single most contrary cartridge out there yet?

Cheers!

😂Joel🤣

Here's my quarter bore. Model 7MS.257 Roberts.

I shoot a quater bore because that was the caliber I was gifted by my father for my first deer rifle. Yes I like to be different which is why it's now a 257AI.

As far as the.... creedmoor... (I threw up in my mouth a little saying that)... name goes I really consider that a misnomer. I would consider the 25cm more of a "wildcat" than a cm. Hornady doesn't support it and in that sense, I would consider owning one. Can't say the same for its 6.5 cousin......

You sir, are a double dog dandy.

Not sure how much of this is satire or if you are truly interested in this wildcat…but it's a good one! Very mild recoil, no problem spotting impacts without a brake. The BC on the new bullets will keep velocities above minimum expansion a LONG ways out…farther than 99% of guys should shoot at an animal.

Mine is pretty accurate too..5 shots then dialed to 670, rang the gong, and one more back in the group to confirm return to zero. Love me some needmoore!!

I still favor quarter bores, which is why my name on here is Quarterman. Ive been considering the 25 creedmoor also. It is basically a 250 savage AI, but with the option of factory brass. I also like that is something different.

Hey Willfrye027, I'd like to hear about the specifics of your rifle. I've been thinking about adding a 25 cal barrel to the remage I had built in 22-250AI

Thanks and Take Care

Mine is a tikka action with preferred barrel blanks prefit. 26in barrel sporter #3 contour. 1:7 twist. I use lapua 6cm SRP brass and an expander mandrel, then on next firing Redding type S die with .284 bushing for about .002 neck tension. Using a 6.5 creedmoor seating die which works very well. 135gr Berger LRHT, h4350, cci #41. This bullet likes to run 2820-2860fps for a lot of guys. I know RL26 will get another 100fps or so in speed but I shoot in hot temps frequently.

I've also got a 25x284 similar set up running same bullets at 3015 with h1000 but that's another story..

25CM. All the cool kids are doing it. You can't get pregnant the first time....

I am building one too. Mine will be a heavyweight fun steel banger. Light recoiling, high BC, decent speeds, good barrel life, cheap to shoot.

Defiance Deviant Tactical SA nitrided

I have all the parts in hand except the action, which should be delivered within the next 1-2 weeks.

25 Creedmoor Blaster FTW. I love this Creedmoor variant because it just works!

131 Blackjack & 135 Berger LRHT are flat trajectory, wind defying heat seekers.

H4350 is a very good go-to, compromise powder, but it's not the perfect powder. Slower powders work more better.
