Who is in love with their 260rem?

I have 2, 260 AI's and 2 SAAMI 260's Like them all. The AI's like 123 Lapua and SST's at 3090. No fly's on either but I do prefer the AI's

I currently have a 260 AI . With a 26 inch 9 twist barrel I'm getting 2920 with a 140. Killed everything from coyotes to elk with it . Can't go wrong with the 6.5 . Had a competition 260 with a 28 inch barrel that I believe got me to just over 2800 . Both are easy to load for the later a touch more

The 260 is my all around gun. I shoot anything from 160grn subsonic round nose out of mine to 140 Berger hybrids at 2900 FPS. I hunt deer ground hogs, and shoot PRS matches with mine. It's just a good all round cartridge. I run a 28 inch 1-8 twist benchmark on my rifle.

I love my 260. I built it on a Savage action with a 26" McGowen barrel 1:8.5 twist. This is a 10 shot group at only 100 yards but it can do it all day long.

doesn't? Shilen .264 barrel blank, but didnt pay attention to what twist when I was ordering and got a 9twist, so I'm thinking it's a good candidate for a 260Rem, who loves them who doesnt?
Need to order a reamer and get this project started already, just not sure what this barrel wants to become. Going to put it on a Savage SA I have laying around.
Had a 260 built by RW Snyder on a battle in barrel, 700 action 1/9 twist. Eats up 130 grain Berger's and is 1/4 minute @ 100 yds

The most accurate rifle I've ever been around was a .260.
The most accurate rifle I own is a .260.
I personally wouldn't take it elk hunting, not that it won't kill elk. I just don't think the medium sized 6.5's (6.5x47, .260, 6.5 creed, 6.5x284) are ideal for critters that big.
If it's all you got, a well placed shot from a .260 will work.

Won't get the Creedmoor guys to admit it but the 260 rivals it easily. Not as much factory ammo available and don't look as cool but performs better in all areas. The Ackley even better yet. I love my .260. Shot 1000 yards with it with much success before going 6.5-284. 46.5 of H4831 with 142 SMKs gets me 2860 fps in a 25" 8 twist barrel and shoots extremely well. Not the fastest 6.5 but plenty for out to 1000.

I had Hill Country Rifles make me one for hunting and one for targets .....both have shot better than 0.25 MOA , usually shoot Bergers or Lapuas .

I have two and have a spare Bartlein in case I need another.
Have a Panda and a RPR. I bought the ruger in 6.5 Credemore and had Greg at Southern Precision build me a 28" barrel for it. Lapua brass. Gun holds .5 moa if I do my part. The Panda is a true .16 moa gun. Its shoots better than I do. Pretty consistently at 600 is 1.0". Bushing comp dies. Nosler brass. H4350

Love my 260 Remington 700 short action Hunter. Super accurate. It was harder to find factory ammo for it for awhile, but now there are more options and reloading. So many great bullets. Light recoil. Performance similar to Creedmore I have both.

I Shoot a 260 for PRS and it just works. It likes 140-142 going 2,850 and 130 Berger's going 3,000.

I get better results with H4831 over H4350.

I found surprisingly good results with R-26 and 147gr Bullets (2,900). That is THE killer long distance combo.

The only gripe is the shorter case life previously mention. I also shoot a 6x47 and can confirm that the brass lasts 10 times longer. But the 260 works so well I am having a hard time rebarreling a 308 into a 6.5 creed. It will be a 260.

ADG makes brass for the 260 and believe me, it's as good as Lapua
