Who is in love with their 260rem?

I agree. The speedmore is speedless.
I'm putting another 6.5 Crede together right now. I could not talk the guy off it. Marketing! "260 Remington?" "That's old Tech". So is my wife. So is my AC Cobra. Wanna race?
Bet the wife isnt a member here. Lol

Funny this thread was resurrected - I have been going back and forth with my 260, listed it for sale on here, decided to keep it, now I am considering selling again...sigh...

What is your load for your DPMS 260? I'm searching for a load for a 22" barrel,and a 24" barrel,bot in AR10's.
I have a dpms LR factory 260 barrel 24". I've been shooting the 147 eldm. RL 17. 2.80 oal. 450 primer. For a couple of years. I'm going to try RL 16 next. I chose 17 at first because of its density.

Don't know bout AR10 load yet. I have a Predator AR10 in 308. Shoots one hole with Fed match 168s.
But my favorite bolt round is the 260 rem.
43.00 grains of H4350. Have a Panda with 29" Bartlein 5R 8 twist. PTG match chamber throated for 140 grain Berger Hybrids. Work done by Bartlein. Have a Ruger Precision that was a 6.5 Credemore. Had Greg at Southern Precision make a Bartlein 28.5" 260 barrel for it. 5r 8-twist. Greg used same reamer as Panda. Both guns shoot same load. Throats are .004" different. I was originally loading the Hybrids into lands. Ran some tests. Now Load the Hybrids .030 off lands. 2952 fps from Lab Radar. Zero pressure signs. Both guns shoot like particle weapons. The Panda has the edge but the Ruger is just a joy to shoot. I keep a spare 30" Bartlein Barrel here for next 260.
Been thinking bout a 6.5/300 SAUM or a PRC but I'm at 3000 fps from my 260s.
Next AR10 will be a 260 Rem. Not a 6 or 6.5 Credemore.

Going to build one for deer next.[/QUOTE

You got me interested in a ar10 ,260 now. Love my bolt 260 rem I just finished finally an ar 10 6. 5 Creedmore , but the 260 sounds .great
