Take a look at the Trijicon Tenmile or Credo in whichever flavor you like. I have both and they are great optics.

I'll second that recommendation. I've had a Trijicon 1-8x28 on an AR for about 6 years and it's fantastic. Great build quality. There's a 5-25x50 SFP tenmile posted for $850 here on the optics forum. I'd buy a good scope used before a lesser scope new. Not sure this one was even used.

Sounds like you have a sweet rifle in the works. Scopes are all about personal preference and needs. I'm a SFP guy for the most part on hunting rigs. My primary hunting grounds just need a very usable reticle at low mag. I do like 15-18x on top. At your stated budget you should be able to get a workable scope. I voted for the V6, but I am no longer married to a particular brand. My next scope will probably be a Trijicon or NF as I like to try different offerings.
