Which guns do you use for predator hunting?

For my predator hunting in NEPA, I use a Remington 700 in .30-06, or a Rem 870. I haven't got one yet, but I will! Hopefully will get a coyote this weekend as Santa brought me some brand new calls LOL!

I usually have a shotgun with me too and I use a DPMS-LR 308.
Bigger is always better I say. Remember , your set-up spot is the most important...Good luck my friend...

I have a 25/06 using 90 sierra h.p's.I have it on many hunts and if I do my part the out come is always the same

Either a .22-250 in single shot 40X Remington or a .223 AR-15....for coyotes only.

Of the three covered in your poll, I use a bolt gun, an Ar-15, and a shotgun. This makes it impossible to respond to the poll. I also use a pistol.

Not my "Go to" fox hunting rig, more my deer rig but last couple of times have been out have seen foxes and not shootable deer

Both good sized dog foxes. For scale rifle is a 24" barrelled 7x64 in a Boyd's Prairie Hunter stock

A 243 Ruger Hawkeye running 70gr Varmageddons at 3600 fps and a SuperTuned Rem 700, in 25/06 launching Sierra BlitzKing 90 he at 3400 fps
243 is my gun for carrying afield ,it's an Ultralight with 20" barrel
Remington 700 ,is set up for nite shooting over bait off a bench at 300 yds, Scope is a Weaver Tactical 3x12 with Mil Dot, it has ND3 Lazer Sub Zero for illumination out to 300. Both are nasty medicine outfits ,as far as The Coyotes are consirned��

A Savage .223 Model 114, does the job well on cats, Foxes and large dogs...(note not the Prarie variety, feral dogs usually ex hunting dogs crossed with Dingoes). No larger predators here in Oz. Love my little Savage, it does it all from rabbits to small deer and pigs.

Which guns or combinations of guns do you use for predator hunting?

Daytime hunt
My Savage Model 10, 4x16 scope, 308 (150gr. FMJ) and
an 870 w/Coyote specials,,, 44 Mag Red hawk

Nighttime
DPMS LR 308 Photon NV scope ..(150 gr JHP). (Hogs only 165gr SST) . 44 Mag Red hawk
Carry a extra scope 3x9 with gun light.

Usually a bolt gun, but if hunting in an area where shots are almost certainly going to be fast and up close and personal, then I switch to an M4 with 1-4x scope.
