easy, sometimes you need a super screamer, a good bonded bullet ripping down range can reek havoc on whitetails if it's a good bulletA 150gr bullet is a terrible waste of 300wm case capacity!!!

215s wreak havoc on whitetails too
I guess that depends on what you're wanting to do with that capacity.A 150gr bullet is a terrible waste of 300wm case capacity!!!
That's what I am talking about, 150's have there place, whitetail weights it's a smoker out to 600-700 yards.I see the merits of both ends of the spectrum. 225 eld m with mv of 2800 is an off switch. So is the 120 tac tx blackout bullet driven to 4050 fps. The 225 is obviously far superior at true distance. But the "point and click" trajectory to a quarter mile (440 yards) of that 120 is nice and it's like they've been hit by lightning.

That's too bad. The win mag is the whole reason I got into reloading because factory ammo was hard to find, and if you did, very expensive. I'm loading 165 GMX right now for deer/elk/bear.Like you, I don't have the time or space to reload right now. Never loaded for my 300wm, always shot factory Federals with Nosler Partitions. I've tried other stuff but always go back to the Partitions.
I lean on the 165-168s myself for deer with my 300wm. Bigger I go to 180-190That's too bad. The win mag is the whole reason I got into reloading because factory ammo was hard to find, and if you did, very expensive. I'm loading 165 GMX right now for deer/elk/bear.
If I'm not hunting Kalistein I'm using 180s or even a 208 for Elk.I lean on the 165-168s myself for deer with my 300wm. Bigger I go to 180-190
I've killed a ton of deer with a 165 from a 300win. I tend to run 225's from my 300rum's though... Lately I've played with the 200 eld-x in the 300win and have a bunch loaded, but the 165 at nearly 3300fps has gone to 642 yards for me already. I'll go with a rum if I want to reach out much more than that.A 150gr bullet is a terrible waste of 300wm case capacity!!!
Yep , my furthest with my 7RM and 140g was 677. Only pushing 3100 with 140gr, dang thing took two steps and nose divedI've killed a ton of deer with a 165 from a 300win.
