First off, that's a bit more than 6" of gel.
Secondly, you're referring to a different bullet designed to perform differently and you're acting like this one, performing as designed, is bad. It has a higher percentage used in the real world vs many bullets you're likely alluding to. It has a very high percentage of success, even if it didn't end up staying mostly together and exiting. It does as designed.
Comparing vastly different constructed bullets in gel and saying one is better than the other, yet both performed as designed is a bit odd to say the least.
If you prefer the performance you're describing, go with it, but don't act like this is bad just because it's not the same as your preferred bullet and performance.
