More of a long range caliber vs rifle I guess however, it changes all the time but the evolution went something like:
30-06
7 Rem Mag
7WSM
300 RUM
6.5-300
6.5 PRC - currently the Goldilocks cartridge for me. Light rifle, not a total barrel burner, low recoil, extremely accurate, packs a good punch loaded with anything from a 120 mono on up to the 156 VLD right around 3K at the muzzle.

I have no doubt some newfangled thing will come along and catch my eye though.

Always some new caliber....marketing and it can be good. A little improvement each time......over time...

I have a rifle built by Tom Donahoe in 338 Edge. 26 inch Broughton stainless, fluted barrel with a muzzle brake designed by Tom. Sits in a nice composite wood stock topped with a Leupold Mk 5 4.5 - 10.
It will shoot way better than I usually am able but when I do my part it will print less than .375 all day long with Barnes 285 LRX bullets.

I'll play! I've got a Savage 10 action, 26" Shilen varmint barrel, and B&C Medalist stock chambered in 260 Rem. I topped it with a PST Gen 2. Love it it death. In fact I liked it so much i sold my Rem 700 hunting rifle and built a 270 using the same formula. It has a Shilen 24" heavy sporter with B&C sporter stock, Leupopd VX-3i scope. For me it's the best balance of consistency, accuracy, budget, and ability to customize.

I have had good results with my Blaser using different barrels:

26 Nosler with 26" or 28" barrel for plains game, deer, elk

22-243 with 28" barrel for smaller game

375 H&H with 25.5" barrel for DG though I don't consider this a LR set up. Shoots a 235 gr GMX at just over 3,000 fps 1 shot harvests on Cape Buff, Hippo, Croc; has worked well on PG as well, but haven't attempted long range shots
