What's your elk rifle?

My elk rifle is the same as my moose rifle - mannlicher-schoenauer m72 in 7x64 Brenecke.

It will push a 154gr bullet@around 3000fps with enough IMR 4350 stuffed in the cartridge.
 
Earlier in this thread I posted a picture of my rifle. Which at the time was a factory rifle with a HS stock. Here is my rifle after it came back from the smith. Blueprinted 700 action. Bartlein barrel chambered in 7mm rem mag and finished at 26". Timney trigger. HS stock that has been glass bedded. Cerakoted action and barrel. And Nightforce glass.

What's the barrel contour?
 
My new one is nearly done just a few small touches left. 700lh 338rum 28" fluted Douglas barrel, removable brake.

Rem 700 XCR, 300 wm, stockies alum. v block stock, Vortex hs 4.5-16x44 LR.
Handload 180 Accubonds and h4831sc.

Having trouble getting accubonds so i am going to try and work up a load for Berger vld 190gn with either h48331sc or H1000, maybe stry RL-22
 
What's an elk? lol one of these days I'll get a chance to oh elk hunting again.

Very soon to be mounted in a BC Weatherby Style Medalist stock.
