What's your elk rifle?

Well, I still like my .300 Win mag for mulies and elk.

But these days if I had it to do over I'd go with a 300 Norma magnum - no pesky cartridge belt to accommodate for starters, better ballistics for another.

Curious if you have ever recovered a 185ttsx from an elk? Those bullets sure perform at high velocities. I have shot elk with both the 210 and 225 TTSX (both .338) but only recovered a couple of the 210's from a buddy's elk.

NO!

Do I have to have only one?
I have a few depending on what I want to take.
284 Thor (7mm/338 Norma mag improved)
338 edge
300 ultra mag
300 Rogue (.30/338 Lapua improved)
In the works-- 6.5 SS
