What's your elk rifle?

I have a couple.. started out with my A-bolt in 7mm rem mag. and still use it ossationally. then I used my 338 lapua with 300smk for a while. Last Year I used my 338 win with 225 ttsx this year I am going to use my 375 rum again but it has a different barrel so I dont know the load but hope to push 270 tsx out of the 28" Benchmark at 3300+

This year I will try and stick with my .270 AI ... attempted it last year but ended harvesting my bull elk with my SAKO M995 in .300 Win Mag using 190gr Berger VLD.

The .270 AI is Savage 110 LA with 30" 1-8 3-groove Lilja #6 with JP Enterprise Beenie Cooley muzzle brake pushing 175gr Matrix VLD at 2993 FPS (my current accuracy load) as soon as I get my 20 MOA (backordered) I will be installing a newly purchased 4-20x50 Burris Veracity scope.

300 win mag, trued rem action, 26 in. bench mark barrel plus break, McMillan Game Scout stock, timney trigger, put together by Horizon Firearms. Nightforce 3-15x50 scope. 180 nosler accu bond bullets. Going to try some 200 accu bonds and see how they shoot.

Backup: 300 win mag, by ER Shaw. 26 in. barrel plus break. With Nightforce scope 5-22x56. 180 gr. nosler accu bonds.

Sounds like a very well balanced LR setup. I hope those 200 Accubonds shoot well in your gun, I have seen them perform very well on some very large bodied bulls. With it's relatively high bc and bonded core, I think it is an all around great performing bullet up close or far away.

I agree sounds like a nice setup

Winchester model 70, Weaver 2.5x7 post reticle, 160gr CoreLokt Ultra bonded.
Old school elk medicine.

Browning A bolt 2, 300 WM, 180 AB @ 3240, Leupold VX-3 4.5-14. Pillar and glass bedded action, trigger worked over and new spring installed. Longest kill so far is 400 yards. Looking to shoot further this year.

I like your sig line from your Dad.....that's great!

Mine is a 284 win on a savage 116 LA, 26" bartlein 1:8" twist #3 contour. Mini mag muscle brake, vortex pst 6-24x50 moa with ebr-1 moa reticle. 168 grain barnes LRX, still need to dial in a load for it though.

Dad's is a 30/375 S.I. On a trued remington 700, jewell trigger, 26" fluted BRUX rem varmint contour, SSG 7/8" V port vaporizer muzzle brake, BC tactical medalist stock, leupold mark 4 (for now) shooting the 215 berger at 2970 fps.

Lately I've been looking at building a rifle around the .350 WSM/.35 Sambar cartridge. That would be flat bad on elk.
