Stunning workmanship . I gained a ton of respect for two strokes racing karts, 100cc Yamahas. 25 or so horse from 100 dinky little cubic centimeters!! 18,000 rpm ! Those are some bad *** looking pipes, do you make those, as well ? What displacement is your current largest ? Are those all billet motor ? Started to ask about your founder, then realized, maybe cut ? Nice !

Thank you, On the larger motors everything is billet other than the cylinders, they are custom castings from a foundry in Oklahoma (CP Ind) that I work with. The displacements range from 425 cc to 1800 cc's, 115 hp to close to 400 hp.The pipes are hand made by a friend and great pipe builder in Ca. Matt Shearer. This is a pic of the middle of a 1200 cc twin cylinder.

Love me some two strokes. So much potential. I always wanted to build a two stroke car. Maybe your the guy to help. Was thinking the Old Yamaha 4 cylinder would be a good start.

That would be to cool. I am Helpin with technical support with a guy who builds Mercury race engines, they want to use some of the larger cylinders CP Ind. produces on a v6 and maybe a v8 thaqt will be in the 100 mm piston range.

That's why I like coming on this site , It is full of artists. whether it is in the machine shop or wood shop or number crunching and fine hand work or just the shear amount of (and areas) of knowledge, its is here for sure!

Really surprised that all those don't run cvt trans. Two strokes are very tough to beat with cvt's although prob not as fun.
100mm is an awfully large 2 stroke piston. Lol my 535 stroker 4 is just over that. Very nice work and I've seen some good work. I used to work at micro Belmont when I raced. They do all high dollar ti stuff for atv's snowmobiles and karts. Such a fun job but the money wasn't what it need to be for me.

They do have a CVT class structure in the PSDA , but the parasitic loss from the weight and drag of CVT is around a 30% , were the sequential setups are under half of that. so the ET's are not as fast with the belt burners as the gear turners, lol as we say.The billet trannys are actually promod street bike trannys. Its funny you say that about CVTs, I am building an 1800 cc triple cyl. that will have a cvt for the 1/8 mile asphalt. One advantage a cvt has is it is easier on drive train parts and on the asphalt we are going to need that for sure lol

Been relating some tales on another thread "Dumb things I've Done"...
Since both are great threads I am trying to tie US all together....

A story from when I was guiding....a talent bygone.....
A group of guys from Arizona came up for a fishing trip...driftboat trips on inland river....two clients one rower....
So as the lead guide..I helped the other guides get their boats in the river and clients loaded...as I put my boat into the river..a client steps out into the water with tennis shoes on....mind you that this was winter steelhead fishing...and the weather was freezing in mornings....I jumped out of my warm truck to get that guy out of the water before he gets soaked...then I notice the shoes he is wearing are those little swimmers shoes....for wading....I tell him to get the hell out of that water before his feet freeze....
Ray turns towards me..a bigass smile on his face..and said something like "thanks for the warning".....he pulls up his pants legs and he has two artificial legs....Ray is a Vietnam Vet...had both his legs taken off by landmine.......he told the other guys about my worrying about getting his feet frozen..and they laughed about it all morning.......I didn't mind the jokes at all....I just wouldn't let him cast in any good holes.....just kidding......great group of guys...
Later that day we were sliding into a really good fishy spot...Ray hooked up on a really nice steelhead...after a lengthy battle that wore Ray to the edge of a nap..he landed a beautiful 16# chrome hen steelhead....the other boats lined up to watch Ray catch that fish and hi fives were shared by all...and I have no idea how many pictures....I got one picture of that day and that hole....there was another viewer watching Ray catch that fish that day.........and it was there from beiggining to end....
That bird.... an American Bald Eagle....
And that gentlemen is the story....that bird was only 30' above our heads...the entire time.....RAY'S HOLE....

LOL I always like pics with the *** showing but I went to Idaho and took a few lessons from Dallon Lambson and he told me his publisher didn't ever want him to submit a painting with the rear view...I would think that most hunters have that image burned into their memory way more then any other...
