I agree my Browning falling block is the nicest wood I own and looks beautifulBrowning's White Gold Medallion, Medallion and their Maple stocks are all quite nice. Not as showy as some of the custom ones but also not as expensive.

I've always wanted to own one of the older Browning safari rifles with the Sako actions. They were back in that '72-74' timeframe as well. Also would like a BAR grade IV from that time period too. Both in .243!I agree my Browning falling block is the nicest wood I own and looks beautiful
Fanciest ever made in my opinion....Old Winslow!
Let cooper rifles build you one you will very happy looks and accuratelyDo not know if Winchester has a custom shop any more. But they used to make some really nice rifles with beautiful wood. I think Remington still has one and they make some nice rifles. Cooper has really nice rifles and are very accurate. If you really want a knock it out of the park rifle go the custom route. Pick your action, choice of barrel, caliber, then shop the dealers of wood blanks. Take it to the custom builder of your choice and you will never be sorry. You will have a piece to pass on to your kids and grand kids.
I'm looking for a rifle that has a fancy stock, new or old. Besides Weatherby's, does anyone else make anything like that?
