I was actually meaning like a gear bag - carry ammo and mags and maybe your shooting bags etc.

I have always used bags from Midway, their large bag is their mainstay, and is decent.
They have offered variants of it over the yrs(smaller)

I have a number of them, but the one I have been using for 3 yrs was discontinued, a smaller wax canvas bag that does it all for me.

I agree with Milo-2. I have used the midway usa range bag for many years. Sturdy and lots of room for gear. I basically have enough room to bring mini gun-bench with me. Everything I need to fix most basic issues. I have room for ammo, targets, stapler, clamps, 2 rear bags, kestrel, cleaning kit, gloves, shooting glasses, 2 sets of earmuffs, cleaning rags, etc...

I use G4Free sling chest bag as shown below. I did add headphones holder and small KUIU pouch for gloves and face mask. This chestpack is ez on and off and small enough that you don't create a 50lb pack. It even has emergency toilet paper in zip lock bag. Works great as quick rest on ground, stump or large rock.

My son gave me a 5.11 bag. Lots of pockets for everything and very well built. Amazon has them for a good price.
