28" barrel on a 300 win will get you 3000 with 215's. Off the shelf dies and ammo if needed. Easy load work up and will do all that is needed from a 30 cal. Not to mention enough barrel life to allow a good amount of practice and good quality brass available.

My 26" 300 RUM Sendero pushed 210 Bergers to 3130 fps with 93 gr of Retumbo.

I'm expecting my new nitrded 27" 300 Ultra to push 230 Bergers in front of RL33 to 3100 plus with good barrel life. I'll be finding out in a few weeks.
