What is your favorite "RIMFIRE" Cartridge and what is your rifle?

Sounds like fun and now that you had some rain maybe you can see some fireworks tonight safely.
Have a bag full of Motars ready to go. On our way out to light up the sky!

Make sure that you don't hold the Motars!;)

I'm deeply in want of s vudoo but until that day I have a tikka T1x that I really enjoy shooting out to 400 yards.

I put the nightforce on it yesterday and shot this nice 200 yard group with 40gr CCI standard velocity ammo.

I have a couple of Savage 22LR that have served me quite well for a dozen years. In particular, I like my TR as it feels and balances like my centerfire hunters. While it shoots several rimfire loads into sub MOA to +200 yards, I particularly like Fed GM HS match(1200FPS), Lapua Center-X, and Remington Golden HP.

I've had a few over the years but my current favorites a cz 453 in 17hmr and a 457 target in 22lr. I also have a ruger 45/22 with a halo sight which is a blast to shoot suporessed.

Nothing has been done to either except for a barrel tuner on the 22 but I have plans for a new trigger and bedding for it.

The 17 and 22 are pictured below.

The 457 has been taken to 300 yards so far but not since the barrel tuner was installed.

The 17 really likes the 17 grain hornady ammo and pre tuner the 457 was liking center x the best. I really hope I can tune in sk long range as I recently picked up two cases.

I'll play! My favorite rimfire cartridge is the 17HM2. It's what got me back into the rimfire game, as well as took my love for squirrel hunting to a whole new level.

I have three CZ 452s chambered for it - with some plans to convert a couple other 452 22s (that weren't originally chambered for the round) into it as well. The three CZs I have in 17HM2: 452 Varmint, 452 American, and a 452 Maple American.

I'm a huge fan of the 452 lineup, with multiple models in each caliber that they released. With that said, the Zephyr IIs are starting to creep to the very top of my list of 'favorite' rimfire platform. They are OUTSTANDING rifles. In fit, finish, and function. I'm amazed at how exceptional the Steyr rifles are. I wish I could get two more Zephyr IIs in 17HM2, but I've been told the 22LR to 17HM2 conversion is far from ideal with the barrel being pinned to the action.

Then there are the Henry .22s.. they never cease to bring a smile to your face.

I love centerfire cartridges and the hobby of reloading - especially the smaller varmint based rounds - but rimfires are my real passion.

I'd love to get into a 17WSM eventually - I started buying ammo when I found it on sale for the day that finally happens. Anyone have a suggestion on route to go for one of the 17WSMs???

CZ 452 Maple American

Steyr Zephyr IIs - Top to bottom (a threaded version and FS version in each caliber): (2) 22 WMRs, (2)17HMRs, then (2) 22LRs! (Still trying to settle on the scope situation after trying a couple options.)

Favorite rimfire is my Remington 40x it's probably gonna make some upset but I cut the barrel back to 16in and put Thunderbeast take down can on it. I live in Montana and use it for prairie dogs and ground squirrels out about 400 yards. Group pictured is 100 yard zero 7 shots. I pulled the one at the bottom.

Nice wood!

Cannot eliminate rifles down to one.....but can do three!! My favorite is a Tikka T1X IN .17 HMR that is a one holer at 75 yards with 17 grain Remington ammo. As far as .22's, a CZ 453 is also a one holer at 50 yards as is a TC G2 heavy barrel. The two .22's like a lot of different brands of ammo with the best groups shot with Eley target ammo. All three will be here until I kick the bucket!
