I have never fired the 6.5-300 or 26 nosler. But, looking at the data...
The 6.5-300 has a average bullet drop in inches of -32.4 at 500 yards.
The 300rum has a average bullet drop in inches of -44.7 at 500 yards.

This is going to come across very rude…
But Dude...make this stop. Please.
Now I've gotta ask a favor, go cover up the Vortex sticker in your back window.
And, go get some real world data from these cartridges you are posting about. No factory posted info, with a flat nose 250 grain bullet for one round and a VLD for another. Apples to Apples bro.
Your posts are exactly what the Petey308 thread are talking about, when you post this stuff.
Have you read ANY of the threads some of these guys have posted on this, or any forum, in the last 10 years.
Can any one post data from personal loads from their 300 RUM or 30-378, that are flatter than a 44.7" drop at 500 yards?
Every load for my RUM beats the 44.7" drop at 500 yards.
And I know you 30-378 guys can top that.
And I'll close with this…(and some of you guys are going to know exactly what I'm talking about)
Yup, she's gotta 3/4" race cam, headers and a Holley double pumper…
