What is the the most flat shooting cartridge yall can think of?

Looking at that link 🤔

My 7STW is running 500fps faster than the ones in the link
I believe he averaged them out...
"The following table averages multiple loads for each cartridge and shows an average amount of drop at 500 yards and 1,000 yards for each cartridge."

The 30-378 Weatherby Mag is impressive for such a large bullet. I think that could be the ultimate 30 cal?

I have never fired the 6.5-300 or 26 nosler. But, looking at the data...

The 6.5-300 has a average bullet drop in inches of -32.4 at 500 yards.

The 300rum has a average bullet drop in inches of -44.7 at 500 yards.

This is going to come across very rude…

But Dude...make this stop. Please.

Now I've gotta ask a favor, go cover up the Vortex sticker in your back window.

And, go get some real world data from these cartridges you are posting about. No factory posted info, with a flat nose 250 grain bullet for one round and a VLD for another. Apples to Apples bro.

Your posts are exactly what the Petey308 thread are talking about, when you post this stuff.

Have you read ANY of the threads some of these guys have posted on this, or any forum, in the last 10 years.

Can any one post data from personal loads from their 300 RUM or 30-378, that are flatter than a 44.7" drop at 500 yards?

Every load for my RUM beats the 44.7" drop at 500 yards.

And I know you 30-378 guys can top that.

And I'll close with this…(and some of you guys are going to know exactly what I'm talking about)

Yup, she's gotta 3/4" race cam, headers and a Holley double pumper…

Flattest round I've shot is my 22-250AI with the 35-grain hammer hunter. Running 4865 fps, it has a MPBR of 506 yards on an 8" target at sea level. Point and shoot.

What is your zero range and highest elevation at midpoint?

Running the 35 HH with a .166 BC at 4865 fps and using a 400 yard zero, it renders a 4.6" high at 250 yards and 8" low at 494 yards. And that is derived using my 7,500 foot altitude.

You must using a zero range beyond 400 yards with a mid height of 5" or so for a sea level PBR of 506 yards?

I have never once on here claimed to be an expert nor claimed to be doing any real world testing between calibers and rifles. I've also never claimed my 300 rum rifle is flatter shooting than other calibers. I'm just a casual hunter.

Can you post some proof with a video that your RUM beats the 6.5-300 wby and 26 nosler at 500 yards? Where is your data? Why is your word more credible than Backfire's and Ron Spomer's? I'm not concerned about the 300 RUM being roughly around 44.7" drop at 500 yards give or take one or two inches. I was referring to someone's posts where they insinuated the 300 rum is as flat shooting or flatter shooting than the 6.5-300 and 26 nosler.

Is your 300 rum flatter shooting than the 6.5-300 and 26 nosler to 500 yards? Can you prove it if so?

I must have screws up some input. Good catch. I'm coming up with 414 MPBR. Screenshot attached.

Uh…no, I don't need to post any of my 300 RUM info…YOU do YOUR research. Tell us what YOU find out.
I already know there are many things wrong with this list, when comparing these cartridges with "Apples to Apples" components and max SAAMI pressures.
-Also they need to have the same "zero" yardage of 100 or 200 yards… ALL the same zero.
-Same barrel length

The fact that you posted that link as the gospel, shows me who you are, and what you know (think you know)

Are all of the rounds posted on that list, factory loaded ammo?

Dude, all of us with two shreds of background on cartridges, who look at that "list" are laughing.

I need YOU to look at that list and tell me that you truly believe some of those rounds are flatter shooting than the 300 RUM….Apples to Apples…same BC bullets, same max SAAMI pressure created by a powder that was designed for velocity…

That's what the "list" you posted is about, the flattest shooting cartridges out to 500 yards and 1000 yards.

Tell US what YOU see is wrong on the list…please

And with that said…3/4" Race cam…

You made the claim, so the burden of proof is on your shoulders. I never made any claim, I just posted the data from the sources of Backfire and Ron Spomer. I also never said or claimed their data is 100% accurate or if I believe their data, all I did was post their data/results of their tests. What is your source and reference? Where are your sources? You haven't provided anything, in fact how do any of us know you're not an imposter?

Can your 300 rum shoot flatter than the 6.5-300 wby and 26 nosler? Are you claiming your 300 rum can shoot flatter at 500 yards than the two above cartridges? You still have not answered that simple question. I don't care about Backfire or Ron Spomer's data, it's not God's word but, your claim is your 300 rum is flatter shooting and you're also insinuating your 300 rum is flatter shooting than the flattest shooting cartridges on the market without any proof.

Backfire and Ron Spomer posted their data, it does not mean I agree with it but, you never posted any data to back up your claims.
