As others noted, "better" is a relative and subjective term. My .30 LARA custom rifle came about during the height of the .300 RUM brass shortage.
Below is a picture of .30 LARA with 220 ELD-X next to a factory .300 WBTY 180 SP. I pre-form brass with my hydraulic forming die using 8MM RM, .375 H&H, 7MM STW, .358 STA, 416 RM, .300 H&H (most challenging), and worst-case scenario, and I can shoot factory ammo, .300 WBTY and .300 Jarrett (very pricey). This would be my max .30 cal and would step up to the big .33 cal mags "if" I need more oomph.
