Thanks for the opinion but I assume you know that there are truckloads of reports of bigtime problems with the VX3. A lot of folks absolutely hate it and talk about how quality has gone off a cliff for Leupold in recent years. The VX3HD 2.5-8 was the first scope I looked at with a heavy presumption that I would end up with that scope. But immediately ran into a ton of bad feedback, and as I recall, the problems were bad, like wandering zero. I don't know what the issue with parallax, aberration or image shift at higher magnification are, but so far everything was consistent as I zero'd it, and as noted, I'm inclined to use maybe 7X or 8X magnification at most.
