This may be dumb to some but interesting to the 6.5 Creed crowd.
These are all one shot velocities from various factory ammo. With Tikka T3. 24.5 in. barrel. Used a Magneto Speed Sporter. I know... Didn't take Chrony.

Looking for TC Encore 28 in. Hunter Barrel FPS.
I Found this on the other two 6.5 Creeds.
Tikka T3 w/24.5 in. barrel
45.0 grs. Superformance CCI BR2 large primers. Hornady case (did w/Starline,Sig and Jagemann cases also. Very little difference).
FPS 2849.2824.2824.2842.2829. Ave. 2833.
This I don't understand with a 2 in. shorter barrel at 22 in. on a TC Compass (bolt action made by S&W...)
Same load, everything.
FPS 2864.2862.2861.2802.2808. Ave. 2839.

That's interesting, I'd still like to see the 28 inch barrel speed if you can find it. It seems like my personal experience with the encore is a fair amount faster than a 24 or 26 inch barrel

I found a little . Had to dig through targets...
Found the TC Encore 28 in. Barrel shot the Hornady 143 ELDX 2842 Fps. That's 196 FPS faster than the The Tikka 24.5 in. barrel.
143 ELDX with 45.0 grs. Superformance was 3011 fps. 178fps. Faster.
The loads were with Starline not Hornady like I said.
For another load that was accurate and fast as Superformance was 43.0 grs. Hodgdon Hybrid 100. With 143 ELDX I averaged 2835 fps. Was almost as accurate also.
Found another. Last one . Was 182 Fps faster with Sig 140 match ammo.

send them back, no hassle just a simple return of a defective product, everybody has them sooner or later.

I'm going to call Lyman tomorrow. I'm glad I just remembered. About a month ago my Lyman digital caliper flaked out. Wouldn't come on. Then sometimes it would and then freak out. I've had it for probably 20 yrs. ? I bought a much nicer one already. Maybe they will replace it ?

Yes. Calipers crapped out. Beyond warranty . Got a new caliper about 3 years ago
