Hard to say.Just curious.. How many shot's before your barrel is shot out??
They say the 6.5x300 Weatherby is only getting 400 rounds before needing re-barreled and it's way slower then that. I was looking at that round until I read that.Hard to say.
115 gr. Ballistic Silvertip, or Combined Technology, as they used to be known, and 115 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips are almost exactly the same bullet. They shoot to the same POI out of my .25-06, and a deer can't tell the difference. Kills like Thor's hammer.I just bought several boxes of the 115 Bal. Silvertip at a really good price. I am going to work up a load for my Sendero 25-06AI.
I have thought this bullet to be a little "soft" yet almost everyone who actually use it get great results so I am going to give them a try. I am expecting 3300+ fps.
I'm north of 400 rounds on mine it's still shooting well. My 257 also runs the 90 grain hammer at 4050. I'm in the same boat once it's shoot out I'll go 1-7 twist for the heavier hammers and the 133 Berger's.They say the 6.5x300 Weatherby is only getting 400 rounds before needing re-barreled and it's way slower then that. They make a 75g in TTSX? I've only seen the 80"s75 gr ttsx in 25-06.

6.5 is the new sweetheart, and .308 is the ever popular so they run more of these extremely high sales volume bullets. Not sure about the .224 though. Why is it that it seems .257 and 7mm bullets are the hardest to find these days? More allocation to 6.5 and .308, 224? One would think that after 2 years of shortages that supplies would be coming back more than they are currently. Not to mention powder and primers...
