What’s your favorite cartridge?

if I had to pick 1 to take with me to survive I don't think I could lol! I've put together my own system as I'm sure all of us have and with years of hunting this is where I am comfortable.
22lr- my squirrel favorite as a kid and a keeper forever
17 hornet- 25 grain pills, rabbits- foxes and if close enough coyotes
204- 35 grain pills, fox- coyote
22-250- 50 grain pills, coyote favorite
6mm- 80 grain pills, coyote- whitetail
260- favorite whitetail, 120 grain pills
6.5-284- 140 grain pills, white tail- moose and elk
300wsm- 165 grain pills, favorite for elk
Gotta have a favorite caliber for each range of projectile and that is mine that works for me. If I had to pick a survival rifle it would be the 22lr

I love my 6.5x284s. I've built 3 of them now, and fairly recently built a 6mmx284. All have been great shooters and everything I've shot at with the 6.5x284 has ended up in the freezer. From small whitetails up to 650lb bull elk.

My favorite cartridge and rifle combination for hunting has been my .300WSM. I have it chambered in my Kimber Montana. I have hunted all over North America and parts of Africa with it. Pushing 180gr Barns TSX, It has killed a pile of animals with one shot.
