all brass has a yield strength if your only getting 2-3 loads you went past it and the brass aint happy. use a lower node not all brass will achieve the same velocity.

In Rick's defense I think that is his point. I am pretty confident that when Hornady brass takes a crap that load is over SAAMI pressure and will be the same in other brass. I am guilty of running on the ragged edge if the load shoots there so I can appreciate the better brass in all aspects.

Accuracy is not there at lower nodes. Went away from Hornady brass with Bertram brass...problem solved.

If the brass is decent stuff, one of these necked to .277 shooting the Berger 170's could make for a pretty cool 270 build on a standard bolt face long action.
