Thats frustrating. I have no experience with Weatherby and I guess I'm surprised that a factory loaded cartridge wouldn't fit in the magazine.

That still doesn't tell us which magazine is in your rifle, and if you could easily modify it.I talked to the people at Weatherby and they make their magazines to SAAMI specs
The Mark V 9lug action is the same for the 257 wby as it is for the 378 case size. The mag box is changed for the different length as is the bolt stop.. Like Dr Vette said post up some pics of your magazine box so we can better advise you on the next step.I talked to the people at Weatherby and they make their magazines to SAAMI specs
The coal of the 378wby is 3.785 and the 30/378 is 3.750 Both are used in the same mark V action. A mag box to accommodate that length as well as a bolt stop are available for the action. Figuring out what you have is as simple as using a tape measure for a rough and a pair of calipers for a finer measurement.I'm not able to get a picture of it at the moment but as soon as I can I will. He did say it was about 3 9/16" which is about 3.56"
I believe the Bergers OAL is about 3.7". I would only be using the ammo for some long range shooting not hunting so I wouldn't mind loading each one individually. However in a hunting situation that's a problemThe COL of the WBY 300 Mag is 3.560. Mic your factory 215 gr Berger loads and if they exceed the 3.560 your going to have problems. That stands to reason, it doesn't matter 6 lug or 9 lug.
