Had a stuck bolt & live round in the chamber

Note: When you use a hammer to CLOSE THE BOLT on your oversized hand loads.....things like this can happen!

Maybe it's me, but I thought they were arrogant and condescending. The stock broke by the magazine and they accused me of smashing it. They would not return it unless I signed some kind of legal release.

But since then I Had five or six Mk 5. It is my favorite action.

Never happened with any of my Weatherby Mark V's ( YET ) but occasionally does with my Heavy Savage 110 in 308 . Bolt lifts easily but need a gentle tap to pull it back. A small rubber mallet will be added to my range bag. Just in case.

A roll of duct tape makes for a relatively effective yet soft hammer in a pinch! I rarely have a rubber mallet, but I always have duct tape
