I am sorry I upset you. I was just sharing my experience and adding a video demonstration of Weatherby's "quality".

I have one Japan thin barrel and one German 24" thin barrel. Both shoot well!Very sweet! Mine are the so-called junk Japan made ones
Thats what they are suppose to doI have one Japan thin barrel and one German 24" thin barrel. Both shoot well!
When I bought my German Marck V, the original owner gave me 6 boxes of ammo. He fired 4 rounds, deiced it was too much for him and put it in the closet for more than 25 years. Is a 24", "pencil" barrel, 1:12 twist, tang safety, all original. One of the boxes he gave me was 110 grn factory loads in the 300WBY. FAST!Thats what they are suppose to do
Speaking of the 257W,.,.,,. I do have a Savage 112 LH heavy barrel 26" 25-06 but everything I've ever read about a 257 is it a total lightening ️ want a fast 240?? Load 100 gr in the 257
There's a difference between complaining and pointing out the truth.Lol people complain about the cost to feed Weatherby's… As they buy a 1500-3k$$ rifle. Look at the price to feed Noslers, PRC's & a myriad other of other new cartridges
Its like buying a 3/4 or 1 ton but letting it sit cuz the mileage sucks
Don't Hate. Not everyone can shoot big guns. I was only 140lbs when I shot my first 300 WBY. 116 factory rounds in one day! I shot the old 45-90 with netal butt plate (yes it comes in 45-90 and 45-110. I think maybe even 45-120). I also shoot 375H&H 300 grains and 338 LM 300 grainsThere's a difference between complaining and pointing out the truth.
If someone intends to actually shoot their rifle, they'd be wise to steer clear of most Weatherby cartridges. For many reasons, cost to shoot only being one.
No need to get defensive, shoot what you like.
"They'd be wise to steer clear of most wby catridges" Please give the details as to why this is. I've owned 4 300's 2 270's a 257 and am building a 300 now. The current build is a custom reamer for 230smk's should be in the 3050-3100 range with the 32" barrel. Like every other one I have or had I'd expect sub 1/2 moa and this should be sub 1/4. The Jap Mark V being used was 85% full contact in the lugs threads were checked and the boltface was true to the center line and square to the threads without the trigger installed. Makes sense as to why the 270wby it was shot so well till it was making bullets go poof. A fat bolt being sticky would be the mag follower. Think about it the bolt body is the largest diameter and there are no lug cuts to create a wobble. There's a difference between complaining and pointing out the truth.
