Not hardly! My wife organizes the camp, and is my prep-chef. She's AWESOME! In her hunting career, she's gotten an antelope, 10 deer, and 5 bull elk. Other wives, and girlfriends come in and out of camp, but they are welcome. Both our sons, 31 and 33, their best friends, parents, significant others participate from start to finish. We have about 12-15 for supper each night. I make sour dough bread every day, and conversation at the dinner table is limited. Usually, "Please pass the bread, and the butter, and the honey". Dutch oven prime rib, pork tenderloin medallions in a lemon caper cream sauce, Dutch oven baby back ribs, barbecued rib steaks, pork chops and gravy "William", are just a few of standards. It's so much fun to share a wonderful time. Our boys started being included in elk camp when they were five years old. We hunt in Idaho, and prefer hunting in the snow. Sometime we get a lot, and sometimes not so much.

You can rent if you don't want to buy or don't have. Generator. You can run boot dryers, charge things, a heater, lights are a great thing in any camp. We take a coffee make, makes thing fast in the morning. Just a thought have a great night and most of all have a great hunt

One more I haven't seen yet. Take some lump coal to put on the fire at night. Lasts all night without stoking, still making good heat in the morning so you have even heat all night and a nice even heat to cook over if you have a separate cook stove. We hunt where the temp drops to -40 so the all night heat capacity really makes a huge difference. Even if where you are doesn't get that cold the long temp hold of coal is absolutely a game changer.

These were taken the morning of day 5 of our 10 day hunt in SE AK, my buddy shot his first Sitka BlackTail about 45 minutes later after being pinned down by rain for 1-1/2 days.

I think Bill has crossed the line into Glamping! Spent many a season in an OLD army tent. "Kink" could see stars above his head but he was nearest the wood stove...We had a wood floor/deck, gas griddle on one end and barrel stove on the other.

Hot shower , keep it small and light . I have found that the more room you have to haul crap , the more crap you will haul. Comfortable sleeping, a way to dry wet clothing and a shower if your out longer than a week. Anything else adds unneeded weight and bulk

Hot water tank with spigot attached to the stove, 5 gallon works.
Vacuum seal all your meals, drop that nights meal in the water tank when your back in camp, done by the time your ready to eat.
Serve dinner on paper plates, plastic forks, etc. vacuum bag, plates forks go into stove, dishes done.
Enjoy your bourbon.
Run a number of S shaped aluminum hooks on the ridge and hip poles (internal frame) good for hanging stuff.
Closet rod suspended from the ridge pole for clothing, boots etc.
bale of certified weed free straw on the floor
Cover straw with all weather carpet or Astro turf.
