  • I would suggest checking John at Bravo Tents in Washington state before you buy. I have been using one of his tents for several years without issues. I purchased top rail for chain link fence for my internal structure, John makes the fittings that are compatible with it. I doubt you will find a better made tent.

    Thanks for the note. I am familiar with fence rails - we've used those in various ham radio applications for years as masts. I would guess that would be stronger for a tent pole as it is a bigger diameter than the 1" EMT. Though, even 1" EMT would be substantially stronger than anything we have ever had/used.

    I will give Bravo a look. It will probably be a while before I buy.

    Another idea: I welded big washers to cement form stakes to make tent stakes that never bend or come out unless trying to remove them. The are heavy but work well.
