Using drone to scout for animals?

I think it's very funny..People will use the highest teck rifles.. 3 x 99 x 106 super scopes.. 10,000 fps super terminal devastating ammo High teck space man hunting
clothes..Hire Peter Chapstick for a guide..But then say OH NO!!! to a little battery powered aircraft? It's no big deal hunting/gun ownership will be outlawed in the US in 10 years anyway!

I agree! It's really silly.

In an earlier post about drones I said as a joke that if they came into my air space they would be shot down ! Someone replied that I would be in hot water for doing so and would be arrested and also have to pay damages ! But thinking it over, what gives them the right to fly them over my private property ? What if we wanted to skinny dip ? I think this would be an invasion of privacy ! They shouldn't be allowed to spy on you or see what you have on your property through the use of a drone ! These are my feelings !
Drones are actually considered aircraft by the NTSB and FAA, so shooting down an aircraft can hold some stiff penalties (monetary fines and years in prison)
if drones are used by a business then they are supposed to get a license and file flight plans with the FAA also

Lots of laws on UAS (unmanned aircraft) which include fixed wing and rotary blade that people are oblivious to- kinda like some people are oblivious to hunting laws

As noted earlier CO does not allow them for hunting or tracking of animals.

I don't give a rats *** if I get into trouble. If the drone is spying on me my wife or kids it's coming down just as soon as u can load the shotgun. No one here in Kansas is going to fault me for it while yes maybe there in liberal Colorado they would throw the book at you.

FAA is not a state entity, It's a federal law hence a federal offense, you could loose your 2nd amendment rights if you violate...but do what you are gonna do

I said no one in Kansas would fault me... not that the faa is a state agency. Where did you come up with that at? I don't care whether it's the faa some neighborhood pervert or you. No parent in their right mind is going to let a drone spy on their kids.

Here in NZ we have specific rules with regards to flying drones but on private land as long as you have the land owners permission we can fly a drone. A few months ago my wife decided to take her drone with us on a hunting trip to a private block of land where we were hunting Red Deer, much to my dismay! I was watching deer that were around 600 yards away and as soon as the drone was airborne they lifted their heads and they were gone. The only thing I can think of was that the deer heard the drone. So even if it is legal and if you decide it is ethical you might just frighten away your once in a lifetime trophy. As for me, I will stick to binoculars, pack and rifle.

Instead of using a drone, why not just trap them and shoot them in a pen. fair chase be damned.

No mater how hi tech you are, you still have to find them and that's why we call it hunting, not killing.

Everyone has a choice and can do what they want that is legal. I just prefer to hunt for my game and rely on experience and luck.

You sound like such a liberal.

Furtherest thing from it. Guy asked for an Opinion. Can't talk about ethics here so there really isn't anything to discuss. You don't even have to leave your truck to scout. If that's not laziness, I don't know what is.

I didn't direct my comment to anyone on this thread. Why the insult?
