TSS in 28 gauge

My buddy and I did some testing last week in Saskatchewan with our 28 ga on decoying snow geese. We shot our limit with 6 steel, 4 steel and 3 steel black cloud. I was surprised how well 6 steel killed snow geese. I've found a load with at least 120 pellets to be very effective if the pellets will penetrate. 6 were good to 30 yds, 4 to 35yds and the #3 were good to 45 yards.

I imagine a 1 1/8 oz load of 18cc pellets would kill birds way out there. Could definitely drop down payload and still be very effective I think.

The load I'm using is a duplex of TSS and Bismuth. 1/2oz #8 TSS and 5/8oz #5 Bismuth at 1250 fps. I patterned some of it this past weekend and am impressed with the results. Resident pheasant opener is this coming weekend so I'll post results when we get back next week. Looking forward to roosters and walleyes!!

This guy has some amazing TSS information in his videos. This looks like it could be the Mac Daddy of all 28ga non-toxic loads. It's a 1-1/8oz Duplex of TSS with Bismuth. Fantastic patterns and killing power. Bullet225ho on YouTube. He develops and has loads pressure tested. Load data can be purchased on his website https://bullet225ho.com/

Check out the video about his new load here...

Bullet225HO sucksss man. He claims he pressure tests his loads but uses a homemade pressure testing system. He was actually claiming that he was able to get a 1/2 ounce steel 1/2 ounce TSS duplex 28g load and it was north of 20k overpressure....extremely dangerous and making people pay for it. That load tested safe pressure on his DIY tester but over twice max pressure when someone else sent the load in to be tested. He shows you loads that pattern well to get people to buy them but uses lead wads(which the cushion is the only reason they test under pressure) that will destroy your barrel. You cannot use any gulani wads or any of the HV series for TSS its been proven by many people you will get scrub through and destroy your forcing cone. He constantly shats on people for using anything over 1/2 tss or tss/bis duplex in the forums and facebook groups but then posts loads like this to sell.

I've not heard any of this before. All his load data comes with printouts from BPI labs showing all velocity and pressure parameters.
He probably changed it up a bit after that super dangerous load he got caught pushing. Figured he could have a lawsuit soon I recon. Put a foul taste in the mouths of everyone across multiple shotgun hunting forums. His posts barely get responses now
