What is everybody getting for true BC on the 170 HHT's? I'd also like to know barrel spec and shot conditions. if you have that info. Since they stopped making the 177s. I need to find a new bullet for next year. Thanks guys!

I have been using them out of a 7mm Sherman MAX and a 7 PRC. The MAX, I just started shooting so I havnt verified with it yet. The 7 PRC I have verified out to 1000 yards and I have the 170 HHT at .260 G7.

Rifle:
Hells canyon Armory build
Action: Tikka T3x
Barrel: HCA carbon barrel 24" 1:8 twist
170 Gr HHT at 3050 fps avg. measured with a garmin chrono.

looking at my notes, When I verified it was 48 degrees outside. I started at 1000 yards on a 24"x24" plate. I put in the estimated BC (.287) from the hammer website and I hit low. So I just kept adjusting the BC until I got the elevation centered on my 10" bullseye. That was at .260 G7 BC. I then went to 800 yards, 600 yards and 400 yards and verified just to make sure and it was good.

My 14 year old son shot a cow elk at 820 yards with this setup and it worked great.
