For some reason I thought you could clean up triple seven with a solvent like kg-1. I just realized it says water clean up. Does it hurt to use solvents? If I start using water now is my bore ok ? I would like to use black horn 209 but it won't ignite properly in my knight disc extreme. Any suggestions?

I use water and a brush in my tc with 777. I then use a bit of gun oil in the action and a natural lube patch down the bore. I suspect you will be fine using a solvent and getting it out afterward, but I haven't actually done it. The proof is in the pudding here.
I've got a tc black diamond 50 cal using rws musket caps, 120 gr fff 777 and a 300 grain sst-ml. It will hold a bit over an inch at 100 yards with a 1x cross-hair. I went to blades and haven't grouped it since though; should be the same I guess.
