I shot an 8 Point Doe on the border of NY and PA.
I got a not so good Mount from our Taxidermist.
Doe with antlers are one in thousands.
I did a lot of research on "Antlers" and there is genetics and hormones.
We haven't killed one in quite a while but had 2 does with horns this year both in the same pasture! Go Figure!!This whole transgender thing is starting to get out of hand!
Had never heard of this or seen it. Chalk that up as my 'learned something new today'.We haven't killed one in quite a while but had 2 does with horns this year both in the same pasture! Go Figure!!
Neither of the antlered does this year we're in velvet….both hunters thought they were shooting management bucks….in my 60+ years hunting and 35 as an Outfitter, I've probably seen 4 or 5 total which made it so strange to kill 2 in the same season….Had never heard of this or seen it. Chalk that up as my 'learned something new today'.
my dad shot a buck with male and female parts in the rear. No joke lol.We haven't killed one in quite a while but had 2 does with horns this year both in the same pasture! Go Figure!!
Most of the dead heads faded away after Jerry Garcia passed away. They dropped a lot of acid, so five points coming out of anything was possible. That is an awesome buck.
Many years ago I found a dead head and it was a basic 10 but on the left side below the base was another antler with 5 more points on it
