This might be my new favorite rifle!

Just got this done and should get to the range with it soon. I have been pretty excited about this one. I decided I wanted to build a pack friendly light weight hunting rifle. Here is how it turned out. Started with the MDT carbon fiber folding chassis short action. Decided I wanted to do an 18" barrel 7-08 to run suppressed. Rifle is 8.5 lbs dressed to kill. I am planning to run the 145gr Hammer HHT and hoping it will get to about 2700 fps. I intend on this being my do all hunting rifle for 600y and in. Folded with the suppressor on it is only 35". Will be very comfortable strapped on the pack when on a long trek or packing meat back out. I'll post pics shortly.

Some of those little absolute hammers with that fancy new tip would be pretty slick. I’ll be doing some more fire forming with the 7-08 I’m getting ready for high power silhouette and a hunting rifle for a friend’s granddaughter this Thursday and then will be ordering up some of those little meat missiles

That is a unique system! Love the cartridge you chose for this system. Have you chosen a powder for the load? Please us posted during/after load development. Thanks
